Waterproof IP66 DC Battery Charger, Ruggedized Step Down Series

The BCH10 Step Down series of Battery Chargers provides reliable charging current in the most demanding environments. Engineered to supply up to 10 amps of charging current, these units convert higher DC input voltages into regulated output for permanent battery connection. Housed in an IP66-rated watertight and EMC shielded enclosure, this charger is ideal for automotive, heavy equipment, marine, industrial, rail, and alternative energy applications.

Designed for maximum durability, the standard model features a Deutsch connector on a pigtail input/output cable, while the military-grade version utilizes separate bayonet-style MIL connectors. The advanced surface-mount, high-frequency design ensures high reliability and efficiency exceeding 91%, providing significant power in a compact, space-saving footprint.

Built to withstand extreme conditions, these chargers are rated for operation from -40 to +55 degrees C. Military-grade variants are tested to meet MIL-STD-461F for radiated and conducted emissions and designed to comply with MIL-STD-810G for shock and vibration. Safety is paramount, featuring reverse input protection, reverse battery connection protection, output over-voltage protection, and spark-free connections. Integrated Smart Ideal Diode output circuitry prevents reverse current flow from the battery back into the converter.
