Cast in aluminum to fit at the base of the gimbal housing on your MerCruiser R, MR, Alpha One Gen II, Bravo series, X, XR and XZ drives. It is designed to help combat the harmful effects of galvanic corrosion. Some attaching hardware is included for replacement of corroded anodes using common tools. Use existing bolts.

These anodes meet or exceed mil-spec MIL-A-24779(SH) providing longer lasting protection than zinc anodes and are for use in fresh or saltwater
Inspect anodes periodically for best protection and replace when seeing signs of corrosion or pitting
