The Groco ARG Series Raw Water Strainer with Stainless Steel Basket is designed for dependable protection of marine engine cooling systems and onboard equipment. Built with a rugged bronze head casting and a clear, one piece molded sight glass, these strainers allow quick visual inspection and easy servicing while underway or at the dock. The ARG Series mounting system allows removal of the strainer body without tools, reducing maintenance time and simplifying routine cleaning.

All models feature an O ring seal on all joining surfaces to help prevent leaks, bonding connections on both sides for proper grounding, and an improved drain plug for easier winterizing and service. The non metallic cap magnifies internal viewing, while the improved basket design maximizes debris capture without restricting water flow. Ports are available with NPT or BSPP threads, making these strainers adaptable to a wide range of marine plumbing configurations. Each unit is UL Listed 255 D for added confidence.

Standard configurations include a #304 stainless steel filter basket, with optional Monel or non metallic baskets available. The bronze head casting is made from C84400 bronze for long term corrosion resistance in harsh marine environments.
