Swing arm Mechanical Sending Units with a direct sight gauge, or with an electrical conversion capsule, displays information gathered via the float, rising and falling with the fuel level in the tank. While accurate, the gauge will fluctuate as fuel sloshes around in the tank when the vessel is moving.
A Direct Sight Gauge (direct sight mechanical read capsule), for reading the fuel level at the tank, comes on each unit; a replacement gauge is available if you damage the original.
An optional Conversion Capsule lets you read the tank meter remotely on a dash-mounted fuel gauge Industry standard SAE 5-hole mounting bolt pattern (pattern is asymmetric - there is only one way to properly align the unit)
