These Pelican Hooks operate by pulling the fast-release plunger to open, then pressing the plunger to close them. These hooks, which can release under pressure, are utilized as a removable fasteners in lifeline applications where a gate is necessary. Only available in right-hand 5/16-24 UNF thread direction. It is well-built from corrosion-resistant investment cast 316 stainless steel, part number 189705, comes with both a swage terminal and a locknut, and is intended for use with 3/16" wire. Installing lifeline wire on boats makes good use of it. A mechanical swage fitting on this Pelican Hook enables quick installation with essential hand tools. It works with all cable types (1x19, 7x19, or 7x7). It is ideal for many industrial or architectural applications where the precise length of the cable is unknown in advance or where the on-site assembly is required, including rigging repair without swaging.
