Constructed from high-quality T-316 stainless steel, the "Captain Hook" is built to withstand harsh marine environments. Depending on your needs, it is available as a standalone hook or as a complete system featuring professional 3-strand nylon line with an expertly finished eye splice.

The "Captain Hook" Chain Snubber can be used in several effective ways:

  • Relieve Anchor Tension: Use the claw and attached line to take the load off your windlass while anchored. Simply snub the chain overboard and tie the line to a deck cleat or samson post.
  • Underway Security: Use the snubber on deck to securely hold the chain in your anchor roller. Tying it off to a cleat provides extra security and prevents the anchor from deploying unexpectedly while cruising.
  • Deck-Side Relief: Easily relieve tension on the windlass by attaching the snubber to the chain within the anchor roller, pulling it back, and securing it to a cleat.
