A watertight seal is provided by the 3/4" NPT tapered thread. Die-Cast Bronze is used to make our goods. Die casting is a metal casting technique that involves squeezing molten metal into a mold cavity under high pressure. The mold cavity is formed using two hardened tool steel dies that have been machined into form and work the same way as an injection mold. It is preferable to choose one with both the flange fitting and the plug made of bronze. Bronze is a copper-based alloy containing around 1212.5% tin and other metals (such as aluminum, manganese, nickel, or zinc) as well as nonmetals or metalloids. These additions result in many alloys that may be tougher than pure copper or have other desirable qualities like machinability.
